HISTORY AND THE FOUNDER

the Founder

My contact details:

Hello! My name is Hamadony Muzafarov from Tajikistan. I founded Hamadoni Muzafar Learning Center in 2006 and was CEO during this time until 2016 in  Navdi village of Rasht District. Also, during this time, I have worked as an English teacher for eleven years in my school and three years in other schoolin my village. It only seems like yesterday that I started my school but there have beenmany changes over this time. We’ve grown from one group of twelve schoolchildren, which included only one girl, to a growing school of more than two hundred children who participate in our educational programs. In addition, I was able to train more than a hundred and ten local English teachers, launch different clubs, as well as leadership and life skills enrichment programs for both boys and girls.I wanted to teach English to children in remote villages. I myself come from a remote village and know how difficult it is to get a good education living there. Now I can give children in the village Navdi, Rasht District, the opportunity to learn English. This will increase their opportunity (chance) in the future to enroll in courses taught in English at University or increase their job opportunities.
More than anything though, it is the success of every child in this school that makes my job as a teacher such a rewarding one. I am passionate about English language acquisition.
I graduated from Tajik State Pedagogical University, English Department with a Bachelor’s degree from 2000 – 2005.
When I am not at school, I enjoy travelling, photography, and reading books about different cultures and spending time with my family.
My philosophy: If we treat schoolchildren like idiots they will believe they are idiots. If we treat schoolchildren with trust, care and love, they will become shining stars!

I decided to become a teacher of English for two reasons:

  1. The first one derives from the belief that mastering the English language can open a student’s mind and allows him or her to exchange ideas, opinions, facts and cultural views with people from other countries. In other words, I am convinced that the English language can play a great role in improving intercultural relationships.
  2. The second reason is related to the importance of education in the development of a human being. Therefore, my role as a teacher is to give students the ability to allow them to cope with everyday life.

History

When I went to Dushanbe to study at the University in 2000 - 2005, it was already my dream to become a teacher of English. So I chose English as my main subject. After I graduated in June 2006, I registered my private language school in Navdi village of Rasht District, Tajikistan.

From 2006 – 2012 we did not have a permanent space to operate so we usually rented community buildings to provide English and computer courses. I wrote many letters to get land to build but it took long time to be considered and in the end there was not the result I had hoped for. This lasted for almost 6-7 years but I did not give up sending letters again and again. Fortunately, in 2011, new head of local government, Mr. Abdurahmonzoda Saidumron, was appointed and when I wrote him a letter, it got supported on the first time. He asked his staff to visit and see if the school was really working and to provide help as needed. One year later in 2012 he visited my school and believed that I did not have enough space to conduct many programs for schoolchildren.  Then he asked head of local community Mr. Sharbatov Bobojon to look for any spaces available for my school. He signed an official order and in June 2012 the construction of school started and lasted for one year. My father supported me to build the school from his contribution. In June 2013, we finally opened our new school. Ir was especially exciting because we were able to have a graduation ceremony that day for our second English program class of 2011-2013 in the new facility.
Now our school has four rooms: two classrooms, a library and canteen. It is small but brings huge results and achievements for pupils of our community.

Here is brief information about my school:
